PERSONAL PROJECTS
Outside of my architecture and interiors work, photography is still a big part of how I spend my free time. What I love most is its creative range. Everything from landscapes, street, still life, wildlife, sport and even the occasional attempt at astrophotography. I’m happiest when I’m moving, usually on long walks through both new and familiar places, letting things unfold a little less predictably but still guided by the same eye for light, form, and detail.
I’ve learned that staying physically fit isn’t optional in this line of work. Photography is a physical craft of long hours on your feet, with various equipment and maintaining a focused eye from the first frame to the last. For a few years, I enjoyed roller skating daily and even joined a roller derby team, which was a lot of fun. After a couple of injuries in quick succession, I decided that taking months off work wasn’t a sustainable career strategy.
Currently my favourite training approach is yoga. Practicing daily, I find this to be a silent winner, supporting strength, balance, and focus across all aspects of my profession and life.
